‘Double-exposed’ is both a play on words and a digital art duo. I love the double-exposure style of photography, and this is my attempt to re-create that look, using a black and white self-portrait alongside a picture of sunsets (‘Capturing Sunsets’), which I amped up, using color filters and adjusting the contrast and saturation, until it produced a vibrant, colorful piece.
As an artist, I often feel exposed, and therefore judged, based on the merits of my work. It’s the nature of the beast: you have to put yourself out there in order to get noticed, but also face the risk of rejection as a result. So it’s that constant dichotomy at play, that inspired the title of this piece.
This piece is available for sale as a print, along with most of my other artwork. Please visit my website if you’d like to view more of my work, and contact me directly for pricing and shipping details. I’m also available for commissioned work.
